Welcome to the
St. Dimitrie
Home page
The St. Dimitrie Program is
a project of the Orthodox Christian
Mission Center (OCMC) in
collaboration with the Romanian
Orthodox Church.

Our mission is to build up the
body of Christ through helping
those who are affected by
alcoholism and drug addiction to
regain their spiritual wellness and
their relationship with God and the
Church.

Our methods include
educational programs aimed at
informing the professional and
clerical communities of Romania
about the disease concept of
addictions, through prevention
programs aimed at reducing the
demand for alcohol and drugs, and
by giving direct treatment services
to those people in Romania who
are affected by alcoholism and
drug addiction, including family
members.

Church of St. John, in Romania.
St. Dimitrie of Basarabov lived
300 years ago in what is now
northern Bulgaria. His wonder
working relics are on display the
at patriarchal cathedral in
Bucharest, Romania.

October 27th has been this year another moment of
fellowship for us and our program's friends. We've been so
happy to have with us many of our old friends and
collaborators, among which some of the medical doctors,
priests, social workers that are encouraging and helping us
and our clients.

Most importantly, many of the beneficiaries of our services
have joined us in praising Our Lord for the joy of a new life in
sobriety.
